I’m Patrick van Bennekom, a 27-year-old Embedded Systems Engineer. Graduating from the HAN Embedded Systems Engineering course in 2018, I turned my passion for creating embedded systems into both a career and a hobby.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When I’m not immersed in the world of embedded systems, you can find me enjoying the great outdoors. As a scout’s leader, I have a deep appreciation for adventure and nature. I’ve had incredible experiences attending the World Scout Jamboree in Sweden, Japan, and America as both a participant and a member of the International Service Team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Diving is another passion of mine, and I’ve been exploring the underwater world since the age of 7. As a certified NAUI Stress and Rescue diver, I’m always up for new aquatic adventures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Currently, I work as an Embedded System Engineer at Alfen (via Ndus3), where I contribute to the development of a new concept for charging stations. My expertise lies in designing lightweight and secure communication protocols for multiple embedded platforms. I’ve also gained experience in projects involving grid detection algorithms and the porting of MbedOS projects to FreeRTOS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In my previous role at Inventum Technologies BV, I excelled in PCB design using Altium Designer. Additionally, I developed embedded software in C, worked on hardware-software integration, and took the lead in managing projects and client relationships.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
